A Bucks County will contest is a Bucks County Orphans’ Court matter where a person, usually a beneficiary, seeks to set aside a will that was presented to the Bucks County Register of Wills for probate.
Will contests are often brought by surviving spouses and children of Bucks County Decedents. Sometimes, a Bucks County Decedent will leave his or her estate to someone else, such as a boyfriend, girlfriend or a designing person, instead of the Decedent’s spouse or children.
Other times, one child will attempt to have a parent give the whole estate to him or her instead of giving the estate to his or her children equally.
Recently, designing people in Bucks County have taken advantage of elderly and infirm Bucks County residents and have effectively stolen a person’s estate by having them sign a new will giving his or her estate to the designing person.
